Level 1601 is classified as a hard level so you can expect to lose a few lives before you manage to pass it.
The licorice you need comes from the spawners at the bottom of the board so you don't really want to destroy them, but you do need to keep the licorice under control so that you can hit the popcorns with your combos.
First break through the blockers to get candies in the bottom part of the board and at the same time clear licorice if you are able to.
Once you have some candies dropping look for chances to make special candies and combos that you can use to hit the popcorns and also clear licorice.
Don't waste too many moves clearing licorice, much better to use the moves to make combos if you can.
Colourbombs are best switched with stripes or wraps, or even another colourbomb.
