Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2784 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
This is the first really hard level in this episode, if you are no good at playing timed levels you may struggle with this one.
You have to play against the clock as you clear the jelly with the added problem of keeping the licorice under control.
The licorice and also the extra time candies will drop down the diagonal row in the middle of the board when you make matches in the outside two columns on the left and right.
If you don't clear any licorice with your move you will get more licorice, but as long as you clear some licorice with your moves you will get more extra time candies.
There are no limits on the number of moves you make as long as you can keep collecting extra time, so this has to be your aim as well as clearing the jelly.
Although it is not easy to make colourbombs when you are trying to beat the clock you should look for them whenever possible and try to switch them with a stripe or a wrap.
I have not found the starting boosters to be very helpful apart from the jelly fish booster, and that can be more of a problem than a help as it wastes time and you have to wait for the fish to stop swimming around before you can make another move.
The main thing is to keep the game going by collecting extra time whenever possible and eventually you will clear the level.

Looks like the end of the CC road for me. Tried with maximum Helmet boosters plus all boosters available at the start and still nowhere near completing. Had full 2hr play on this level but nowhere near!! Was hoping we had finished with Time Levels but clearly not. Will try again just in case my "lucky" board is imminent but not very hopeful. Have 100+ Glitter Balls going to waste....
This level is insanely difficult, often just a choice of one useless move that you have to hunt for. If I use up my boosters before I pass I'm finished with CC, didn't they used to indicate it was a timed level on the map? Now you only find out as it starts!
On slow computers, using fish is a waste of booster because they take so long swimming around.
three days so far, and i've gone thru multiple helmets, boosters, even tried to just pound it to death with lollipop hammers and added extra time. this is about lucky board, fast computer, fast internet plus luck, luck, luck.
This the 1st of the 6 of what I called hybrid timed levels, timed level with squares containing jelly. I think 2784 is the hardest of the 6 because licorice covers the double cream blockers, making it more difficult to clear the jelly in those squares. It took me about 15 tries and bought extra tine to complete it. What I can suggest is concentrate more in collecting time candies when they become available than in clearing the jellies because when the time runs out, so is your game.
I love timed levels but this one is seemingly impossible. Been playing since it came out with space dash, even adding all boosters to no avail. This is ONE HARD LEVEL!!!!!

Well finally got my lucky board. Sadly I got it on King.com where in its wisdom King has vanished all hammers and hand switches on one of the hardest levels ever.
1 hammer was all I needed to use. Thanks to Kings tech wankers I couldn't.
Was able to get through using the boosters in Space Dash. Kept resetting board until I got 2 color bombs(CB)together. Used some of the other boosters before using the 2 CB. Finally had to use 4 lollipop hammers.
I'm glad some of you appear to be able to use boosters but mine are all greyed out. One time I got really close and tried to use gold bars for extra time, but it just gobbled up the bars and gave me no extra time. Thinking it was just a glitch, I tried again with 15 bars, but still no extra time. End of game. 25 gold bars wasted. I can't get anywhere near now. How do can I re-set on a PC without wasting a life? and how do I get a 'space ship' booster? Thanks for your help fellow crushers!

Lost the space Dash finally and passed board with no boosters. Keep matching on outside and pick up time. Easier WITHOUT boosters!!!
My boosters are all greyed out as well, this level is really hard.

I can't re-set on my PC so not so lucky! Is there a way of re-setting on PC without losing a life? I am wasting so many on rubbish boards.
Timed levels stink. They are just frustrating and no fun at all. All my boosters are greyed out and can't be used so no hammers or fish available. This is about it for me as sick and tired of being at a disadvantage because King can't maintain a level playing field and I hate timed crap.
You can reset on the PC by clicking on the gear at the lower left hand corner. Then click on the red rectangle with a left arrow in it (the bottom one). It will take you back to the road map. You won't lose a life and the boosters that you checked as long as you haven't played a single move. HOWEVER, you cannot reset on a time level such as 2784. If you click on the gear, it will ask you to either Quit or Play on. If you don't complete the level, you lose a life. The boosrers you checked to use on that level will be gone whether you pass the level or not.
Finally made it without boosters, a lucky board and continued ability to create extra time. However I spent about $6.00 prior to winning and not getting it done!!!
King has definitely recognized the board was too hard. When I tried at 6:30pm, almost passed first try without boosters and several CBs fell, so tried again with several CBs falling next to stripes and passed easily. Luckily I don't have boosters so only one fish wasted in previous attempts and I don't spend money.
I passed it yesterday after 2 days of trying. Again it was on King.com and not facebook. As above no boosters used just managed to get so much extra time candies that I had time to look at the moves I needed to get thru.
If you play on King.com you don't get any magic helmets or space dash.
Still on to get to 3000 without spending a penny.
There is no 'gear' at the bottom LH corner of my board! Only the red 'quit' button!
Why can't King make things the same on Facebook and king.com? It seems grossly unfair to me!
If you have no 'gear' at the bottom LH corner of your board, what browser are you using? Try to open your Facebook on a different browser. Candy Crush has different version for each browser. I am using Chrome.
How do you get your present level at King.com? I try to play it there but when I opened Candy Crush it was on level 1.

This is just sick. I am done with it. A week of trying did not do it. It is a complete waste of time. It was fun for 2783 levels.

King has not fixed anything, but rather made things worse. You thought this nearly impossible with a one minute start time? Try 35 seconds to start! That's what I have today. King Krooks.
Don't use fish boosters. The timer keeps going while they're swimming and you can't do anything else.
finally got it by finishing with two hammers
Played on King.com which I have never done. Completed this board on first try using one extra time and one lolli. Much easier than on FB on PC.
This makes me sick.....60 seconds to play on video, we have 35 seconds now !! Even "a lucky board" won't help much. Hoping the clock will set back to 60 seconds (2 minutes will be better)

Had to use, what seemed like, infinite gold bars for more time. I had one jelly left and COULDN'T FIND IT!!! I should have waited until tomorrow to see if it was easier on iPad. Grrrrrrrr.
this level can't be done in 35 secs need more time 2 boards to look at there's just no time and the counters seem to take there time coming down come on king give us a break!

Looks very hard indeed.
Got super lucky board on my second try.
Got 2 CB from the SD, switched them with singl color and managed to form 3 more.
Switched one of them with single color, and another one with wrap that blow the last CB.
Even then, I needed to use hammer to blow the last jelly.
I ignore the extra time candies, as with 35 sec, I don't think you can count on them to extend the game.
4 sec left.

i think it's when you get helmets for finishing levels. play an easy level and then play again. if you lose, you have to exit the game to keep the helmet boosters.
Timed levels like this one with only 35 seconds are "Elderly Abuse"!!!!

To CC From Veronica - close app down by swiping before escaping the level you are playing. I.e. Immediately after the level you are playing ends, do not press Give Up button, just close the app and re-open it.
Gosh, don't people like to whinge and gripe. Relax people, it's a game. This level is actually quite good fun. I haven't passed it yet, but I got down to one jelly left (curses). I don't think it'll take too long.
Passed, but had to use boosters (bomb+ wrapped and stripped + fish). The sad part is that you lose your boosters if you give up the match, because it is a timed level.

This level is way too hard for 35 seconds. I have tried it with all the boosters, no boosters, bought gold bars to continue.

And, the explanation at the top says if you fail to remove a licorice more will drop, but not in the magical video. Also, 35 seconds into the video, she was not even close to being done.

Most difficult level I've seen in a long time. Not enough time. No skill seems to be used but just need a lucky board.
Been on this level for awhile with no luck. Used up boosters that were no help. Can't reset to get two color bombs together because you lose too many booster and turns, posting for luck.

Playing wo boosters on android and managed to get down to 1 jelly once, on my first night. I prefer cb+stripe combo over wrap as they can hit the jellies at the slanted blocks. I also focused on 1 side first, then moved to the other after clearing all or in need of time jellies.

I am legally blind and I do take a little pride that I have come this far. I can not do these timed levels. I had wanted to get to 3,000 but I am going to quit now. I used to have hundreds of lives, but with the levels so hard, I am down to 100 lives. I will finish trying with the lives I have, then I will leave. It's been fun and I will miss this game a lot. I am hoping to try a different game. Good luck to the prople that still read these posts.

Finally was successful using three hammers.
Hate timed levels so when started playing years ago I bought the "time stands still" booster. It was expensive but served me well. NOW IT HAS DISAPPEARED. Come on King, play fair. Taking money for a purchase and then suddenly deciding not to give it is tantamount to fraud!!!

Oooh, this one is frustrating. I've played about 25 times now. I've been down to 1 jelly needed 4 times, 2 jellies 4 times and under 5 jellies another 5 times. Typically I have no hammers at the moment. I know I can do it, but I guess it's going to make me wait until it's ready (or I cave in and buy some hammers). Actually, I think you might win hammers playing Space Dash on 2000. Watch this space :-)

If you are on Android, and only getting 35(?) Seconds, then download a newer version from Google Play, and you get 60 seconds. Still pretty hopeless, but better .
I have a flying saucer booster from 2000, and wonder if it will help, or does it eat up all your time. Anyone know?

The amount of money King are making with Candy Crush, surely they can do the decent thing and make it a level playing field for all players....grossly unfair King..!!!
Considering I don't spend money on cc, I think this level may be the one to finish me off. I'm not keen on timed levels at the best of time, but this one really is ridiculous. I know I'm not your favourite customer as you don't make money out of me, cc, but you're not doing yourself any favours. Cc should be fun, not insanely frustrating.

Thought I was at the end of the road with this one but I managed to get through it after an evening and morning or trying. Do not waste time on boosters with this one I wasted all of mine and finished level without any boosters. Only tip I have got is to try and get the tricky corner jelly when you have 20 seconds or more on timer and then go back to collecting time until you are up again and repeat. Its a killer of a level I agree and with 35 seconds seems impossible but eventually you will get through it (with very sore clicking finger)
Horrible level. Finally got through by relentlessly chasing extra time candies. Got down to 2 left a couple of times, then finally one with a lollipop hammer. I nearly couldn't find the last one to smash it, but just got there with a second to spare. Ugh! Hate this level.

Played this on PC for a week and nowhere near. For some reason my android hasnt updated to this episode, any advice? Dont want to reinstall as boosters will go. This level is the hardest ever. Posting for help and luck please pretty please.

Hate this timed levels. Stuck for days in a row. If CC continues with this kind of levels I really have to quit. I gave myself 2 more days, and then I go on with other things in life, but I will miss my 'normal' levels of candy crush.

There should be some way for slower players to get through these levels. Otherwise, we're here forever and might as well give it all up. I have been on this level for 3 days and at some point it just becomes tedious. I just might give up the game and use my time to knit toques!
I’m 71 very ill. Can not get out of bed and Candy Crush was one thing I looked forward to. But with timed levels like this hard I can not get them. Please think of. Some of us that have tried so hard to get to this level and now will have to give up.

Well another day gone by and still have not passed this level. Why in the world did you cut the time from 60 seconds to 35 seconds - not nearly enough time! Not fun just very irritating!!

After being on this stupid level for days and commenting several times you finally changed the time from 35 seconds to 60 seconds. ONLY ONE PROBLEM, you only changed this on phones NOT IPADS!! Guess what I am playing on - you got it, an IPad!! When can we expect an upgrade.

I passed first time round thanks to the above tip about getting two colour bombs together. I didn’t even have to reset the game! The two were together on my first board. I did use a swap near the end because the bottom left level had no matching candies. After that done and dusted. How lucky was that because after reading all the above posts I was dreading the level as I’ve never been any good on timed levels anyway.
I worked as fast as I could making matches in the lower right. That brought extra time candies down. I did not look at the remaking jellies until I had built up lots of time. Foucussed on that lower right until down to just a few jellies.

The icon for this level does not indicate it is a hard level as no skull appears.. I have been on this level nearly a week and haven’t even come close. I have no timers on the level. Can’t seem to win fish boosters either.
Passed after a few tries. No longer timed, now it's a jelly level. Still hard enough, but passable. I don't have any great tips that you will not discover for yourself in playing. You will find that making moves in certain areas/columns cause a lot of movement(sorry I didn't make note of them, but you will know easily after one or two goes). I would advise: watch carefully the bottom left jelly top section, the top right one in the bottom left section. Somehow, with enough wraps/stripes etc, the diagonal is not a problem. Hope this helps someone
